WEARING THE WALL

ROTATING THE ROOM

In 2025, the Blickle Raum Spiegelgasse will become a place for research, rehearsals, exhibitions and collaborative processes for artistic projects. The various performances will form the Rotating the Room series, which focuses on the diversity of creative work.

The series includes support for a production as a rehearsal and experimental space - Alex Franz Zehetbauer will be in residence at Spiegelgasse in May and November - as well as a collaboration with students, who will be invited by and together with Hans Schabus to a presentation at Blickle Raum in June.

After the summer, the Rotating the Room project series will be continued and artists will be invited to take part in new collaborations and site-specific projects. Alix Eynaudi and Christian Kosmas Mayer will collaborate in the Blickle Raum in October and Claudia Lomoschitz will work with Roman Ehrlich and Michael Disque on a project in December that will intensify the Ursula Blickle Foundation's exchange of content between Blickle Kino, Blickle Lab and Blickle Raum.
In 2025, these “rotational movements” will link and condense the artistic positions and open up interdisciplinary spaces of experience.

Rotating the Room is curated by Tina Schelle

The Rotating the Room exhibition series at Blickle Raum continues in October with a performative exhibition by Alix Eynaudi and Christian Kosmas Mayer. In their first collaborative project, Wearing the Walls, the historic photo studio in the attic of the Ankerhaus serves as the starting point for an archaeography of the building.
The installation takes shape as a living, changing studio, hosting oracle dances and photo shoots, a space where the history of the house is continually called upon to be restaged and reimagined.
